Are you new to anime conventions and feeling a bit overwhelmed? Maybe you’re an anime fan who wonders what a convention might be like. Or perhaps you just want to see what all the talk is about. Don’t worry, Anime St. Pete 2024 is coming up on September 28-29 at the historic St. Petersburg Coliseum. And we have you covered with something special called the “Newbie Welcome Experience,” a set of programming designed to help our first-timers navigate their way through the con.

The Newbie Welcome Experience includes a special panel, tour, and photo opp — all hosted by our talented guest cosplayers, starting at 11am each day (takes less than an hour).

Whether coming alone or with friends, this is a fantastic way for our newbies to start a convention journey with confidence and excitement. (and yes, it’s all free). But a warning to the newbies: After this, you could become hooked on attending anime and comic cons!

Panel

The panel titled “First Time at an Anime Convention? Start Here.” is at 11am each day and hosted by our talented guest cosplayers. They’ll share insider tips, tricks, and everything you need to know to enjoy the convention to the fullest. No pre-registration needed, just show up at the Alcove Panel Room at 11am either day.

But that’s not all! After the panel, these same guest cosplayers will take you on a guided tour of the convention, showing you all the must-see spots and answering any questions you might have along the way.
